Half-day

Frequency: every day

Schedule:  start: 8:30 finish: 12:00 

Parcours: trail running (5 km)- kayak (7 km) - road cycling (7 km) - total 19 km

If you are looking to introduce yourself to adventure running, discover the park, and develop your skills, this package is perfect for you. 

Program:  This day will allow you to assess your fitness while learning how to better manage your outings. Our itinerary will follow the following route:

  • A trail running segment of 5 km perfect to put our legs in motion;
  • 7 km river kayak, where you will learn to negotiate R1-R2 rapids and ensure our safety.
  • A last segment of 7 km by road bike to return to our reception point via the access road of the park.

A discovery that will make your want to go further!

Technical difficulty: The trail segments have 25-100 meters of gentle slope. These sections can be walked if needed. The river section has R !, R-2 rapids (which can be avoided if required).

* Required skills: Be able to run a distance of 10 km on the road - physical endurance that can support a physical activity of average intensity of 3 hours - know how to swim with ease

Cost per personne (+tx): $150.00 (includes access fee to the park, kayak rental, and guides.)  

* Bike rental is available on demand (for an extra charge).

Schedule:  start: 8:30 finish: 2:00 pm

Parcours: trail running (10 km)- kayak (8 km) - mountain bike (7 km) - total 25 km

This package is an excellent introduction to adventure running while being accessible. 

Program: Our challenge will be to realize the following route:

  • We will follow the river trail by mountain bike for a first segment of 7 km rather flat.
  • We will leave our bikes and go on to run a section of 10 km of trails in one of the most beautiful corners of the park.
  • We will then descend the section of the Jacques-Cartier River kayaking, learning to negotiate R1- R2 level rapids while admiring the beauty of the valley back to our starting point.
  • We will finish our expedition by taking the time to relax , talk about our experience, and share a light gourmet meal prepared by one of the best caterers in the region.

Technical difficulty: The bike section begins with a climb of 250 meters (50 m vertical), the trail segment starts with a climb of 300 m (70 m of vertical). These two sections can walked if needed. Trail run segments have 100-200 meter climb sections on a gentle slope. The river section has a fast R3 which we will avoid via portage and other R! -R2 level sections that can also be avoided via portage as required.

Enduro

Full day

Frequency: every day

Schedule:  start: 8:30 finish: 3:30 pm

Parcours: trail running (10 km)- kayak (19 km) - mountain bike (15 km) - total 44 km

An excellent training circuit, our enduro package provides good distance and maximizes the adventure.

Program: 

  • Our adventure will begin with a section of mountain bike taking a forest path and a gravel road to reach our first goal of 15 km.
  • From there, we will board our kayak to descend a first section of 9 km of river.
  • We will put on our running gear and run a 10 km section of trail that will take us back to our kayaks.
  • We will board our kayaks to make the last part of the river, negotiating level R1- R2 rapids while admiring the beauty of the valley back to our starting point.
  • We will finish our expedition by taking the time to relax , talk about our experience, and share a light gourmet meal prepared by one of the best caterers in the region.

Ultra

Full day

Frequency: every day

Registration : 7:15 am

Meeting point: Customer service area- park's welcoming (km 10)

Schedule:  start: 8:00 finish: 5:00 pm

Parcours: trail running (17 km)- kayak (19 km) - road cycling (17 km) - total 53 km

The Ultra is our top challenge for the adventure runner. A 53 km course that includes the ascent of the Scotora and its spectacular view point at the end of the Jacques-Cartier valley!

Program:

  • Our day will begin with a section of mountain bike using a forest path and a gravel road to reach our first goal of 17 km.
  • From there, we will proceed to an 8.5 km ascent of gentle to moderate trail (405 meters) to reach the view point and run back on the same trail.
  • We will then transition into our kayaks and proceed to the complete the 19 km descent of the Jacques-Cartier River,negotiating R1-R2 rapids while admiring the beauty of the valley back to our starting point.
  • We will finish our expedition by taking the time to relax, talk about our experience, and share a light gourmet meal prepared by one of the best caterers in the region.

Technical difficulty:  The 17-km trail segment consists of 8.5 km of climbing on a forest path with a gentle to moderate continuous slope. The river section has a fast R3 which we will avoid via portage and other sections of level R! -R2. This course is not technically demanding, but requires very good endurance.

* Required skills: Elite runner with a level of competitive training - physical endurance that can support an activity of medium to high intensity of 6 hours - know how to swim with ease.

Cost per personne (+tx): $300.00 (includes access fee to the park, kayak rental, guides, and the light meal.)

La formation est centrale à la mission de Whisjack. Le Centre offre une série de cours d’initiation et de perfectionnement sur la pratique des disciplines de vélo, course de sentiers et kayak qui vous permettront d’évoluer et d'atteindre de nouveaux objectifs.
